Venkata Paruchuri

Venkata Paruchuri is a MD student at the UQ-Ochsner School of Medicine. He obtained his B.S. in
Bioengineering from UC Berkeley and his M.Eng. in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University. His
was previously involved in research related to Traumatic Brain Injury and Cellular Biomechanics.
Additionally, he is also passionate about medical design and participated in the development of an
Alzheimer’s diagnostic tool in conjunction with the medical device company Welch Allyn. Currently, he

works at the Herston Biofabrication Institute utilizing his engineering background to work on design-
related projects that help improve surgical procedures and outcomes.
