Valentina Vargas

Valentina Vargas is a current Doctor of Medicine (MD) student at the University of Queensland-Ochsner Medical School in Brisbane, Australia and New Orleans, Louisiana. Prior to studying medicine, she completed her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Management and minored in Biology and Chemistry at Florida State University. She then went on to get her medical assistant license and worked as one for three years. During this time she was able to work closely with obstetrics/gynecology, oncology, and family medicine physicians, and gain interest in these fields.

Outside of medicine, Valentina loves working out, petting dogs wherever she goes, and traveling as much as she can. With the CAAMSA team, Valentina hopes to promote a collaborative space for international students to come and work together.
