Ryan Luessen

Ryan is a third year medical student at the University of Queensland-Ochsner Medical School in Brisbane, Australia and New Orleans, Louisiana. Prior to studying medicine, he earned his B.S. in Mathematics from Miami University in 2019 and later worked on phase I-IV biopharmaceutical studies as a data analyst for Medpace, a global clinical research organization. His current research interests include the applications of topological data analysis to better visualize and explore data in oncology. In the future, he hopes to continue combining his interests in medicine and mathematics through research in fields such as rheumatology, neurology, and radiology. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling, playing the guitar, and walks with his Chocolate Labrador, Lola.
